I wrote this drabble for the [livejournal.com profile] sunday100, but it's too long by about 20+ words, but I don't have the heart to shave it and I like it, so since this is my journal and I can, I'm posting it here.

The challenge this week is: 3 people are sitting on the steps

The House

"You ever figure this, pet?"

"No. No, I can't say I ever did."

"And you?" Spike looked at the boy next to him.

"No. A world of no."

Spike kicked a leg down to dig in his pocket. He could swear that he put it in there.

Warren looked at him curiously, "What are you looking for?"

"My lighter. Thought I had it in here."

Tara pointed, "She's got it."

Spike looked. "Damn. She was always nicking it after we..."

Tara looked at him, "She meant it you know."

Warren sighed, "Maybe if someone had said it to me, at least once..."

Spike raised his brows, "What? We wouldn't be sitting here?"

"Well, how was I to know that there's no heaven or hell? There's just this," he looked behind him, "house."

Oooh, I like. If you change He could swear that he put it in there to He could swear he put it there, and change Thought I had it in here to Thought I had it, and Tara looked at him to Tara said and Maybe if someone had said it to me, at least once . . . " to "Maybe if someone had ever said it to me . . . " you'd shave off a few more words and make it even more elegant and tight.

Oh, creepy. Nice. I like it.

Also, this pic of James on your LJ is hotter than heck. You can see his religion, dude. ;}

He's just so goddamn cute when he smiles.

I only WISH I could see his religion. As it is, maybe I could help him next time he needs pants tailored. =)

Love it! Would never have thought of the three of them together. What a clever idea.

I don't know what exactly made me think of the 3 of them.

Probably that they were closest ones to Buffy during the last seasons that died.

Sometimes I suprise myself. And isn't it nice when that happens?

This was great! I loved the idea of all of them being together and on the steps of Buffy's house.

I figured it was fitting that people who affect each other's lives profoundly be...tied together.

Buffy's house.

Yeah.

That's it.

LOVE IT! Wow, what a fantastic idea! Spike, Tara and Warren, of all people. This is truly brilliance on your part because it's just so perfect with the three of them there. And there's no description but I just have this perfect mental image of Buffy's back porch with Tara and Warren on either side of Spike sitting there, and just watching the world go by.
